What you’ll do

Kinedu prides itself on delivering efficient, effective solutions across a wide range of industries. The key to our success will be largely dependent on the stellar ability of our Engineering team. We’re currently searching for an experienced Engineering manager/director to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind and a proven ability to strategize and implement high-level software development initiatives. As a natural born leader, you will have a strong talent for project coordination and delegation. Ultimately, you are motivated by the desire to optimize productivity and nurture program success from inception to completion. This job opening is suitable for remote workers as well!


Your responsibilities

  • Define, prioritize and plan the Projects that will need to be implemented, gaining alignment with all appropriate levels within the organization.
  • Evaluating software solutions and system performance
  • Managing the development, deployment, and integration of software solutions.
  • Performing routine maintenance and monitoring performance metrics.
  • Keeping abreast of new software technologies, as well as conforming to best practices in cybersecurity.
  • Drive technology initiatives to improve end-to-end Customer Experience.
  • Communications skills to work cross-functionally
  • Critical thinking to establish processes
  • Organization to prioritize tasks
  • Analytical skills applied continuously in strategic planning (business-wise)
  • Deliver product/program quality improvements based on Customer feedback and core Customer Service performance measurements.
  • Identify opportunities to develop and drive solutions to enable automated tools and applications for self-service
  • Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
  • Maximize resources for the greater good of the organization.
  • Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels.
  • Manage program and project teams for optimal return-on-investment, and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives
  • Identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department
  • Advocate on behalf of the Customer during all tech engagements to ensure a consistent high-bar on excellence and project delivery.

What you bring

  • 5+ years in an advanced management tech role (preference given to those with program management and/or software development management experience)
  • Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture
  • Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills
  • Working experience using programming languages such as, Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, Rust, Go, etc.
  • Outstanding working knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes
  • Understanding of agile methodologies (preference given to those with work experience applying agile methodologies in tech teams)
  • Deep familiarity with DevOps practices
